Why is it that they have recently become so popular? ![]() Scanning these codes instantly displays information or takes you to website. You can even get a QR code tattoo if you want. They are on signs, coffee cups, business cards, t-shirts, cupcakes, and bananas. When I scan this code, it opens to my website, . Isn't that great? QR codes are not limited to being just text-they can be hyperlinks. The text from the QR code is displayed so fast, no wonder it's called a Quick Response code! I simply launch an app and point my device's camera at the code. QR codes contain up to a few hundred characters, and it's not limited to just numbers. ![]() It's like a bar code, but can contain much more information. Supermarkets, businesses, and libraries have used bar codes for years because it saves time and is more efficient than typing in the digits. If you really want to, you can make your own barcodes.
